Upper Gallinas Restoration Memo

Upper Gallinas Creek was channelized in the 1950s. A natural creek could provide wildlife habitat and enhanced recreational opportunities. Obstacles to restoration include cost and ability to convey storm flows. Read the Final report.

Santa Venetia Dock Report

Gallinas Watershed Council has produced a report detailing current issues and listing the permit requirements for rehabbing docks on Gallinas Creek. Santa Venetia Dock Report.

McInnis Marsh Project Moves Forward

McInnis Park in San Rafael

Marin County Parks is using a $550,000 state grant to restore 180 acres of diked wetlands at McInnis Park. The project includes a new trail that will connect to trails on LGVSD land and would be part of the Bay Trail.
